Casino Gambles on a Steel Framed Parking Structure

Who said parking garages are always built with concrete? Not so.

Sands BethWorks is a casino currently under construction in Bethlehem, PA on the former site of the historic Bethlehem Steel. One of the major structures on the complex is a 7 storey parking garage for over 3,200 cars. And it’s being built with a steel frame! So, next time you hear someone states that ‘parking garages are built with concrete’, take them to task and show them that steel is a viable alternative. At least the frame will be environmentally friendly, even if the cars that park there aren’t! Something to think about.
